Job Title: Lifestyle Coordinator

Highwoods Preserve OPCO is seeking a skilled Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Job Summary:

The Lifestyle Coordinator will work closely with the Lifestyle Director to develop and implement a monthly calendar of activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents. This role requires a creative and organized individual who can think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas to keep our residents engaged and entertained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a monthly calendar of activities that meet the needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Lifestyle Director to plan and execute programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Conduct programs that meet the individualized needs of our residents, including daily life enrichment programs.
  • Provide input to the Lifestyle Director regarding programs being organized and planned.
  • Assist in taking residents on trips and provide supervision and guidance on the trips.
  • Provide information to the Director regarding the residents' participation and abilities to assist with the development of a personalized care plan.
  • Responsible for maintaining communication, in conjunction with the Director and family members, regarding level of participation in programs.
  • Support and maintain an effective volunteer program through screening, orienting, training, supervising, and evaluating volunteers.
  • Assist the Director with ordering, maintaining, and securing needed supplies for the department.
  • Concerns himself/herself with the safety of all community residents to minimize the potential for fire and accidents.
  • Puts customer service first and ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
  • Will implement activity programs that are appropriate to the residents based on varied backgrounds, emotional needs, and interests.
  • Maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
  • Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
  • Follows proper procedure for clocking in and out for shifts.
  • Follows guidelines for uniforms and wears name badge daily.
  • Follows policy on signing equipment in and out, and uses Company assigned equipment properly as intended.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge on the use of personal computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the principles of best Activities practices.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity and physical level in which they are currently functioning.
  • The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPPA.
Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a professional office and senior living environment.
  • Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions.
  • Able to work under stress and in emergency situations.
  • Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
  • Able to talk and hear effectively to convey instructions and information to residents and team members.
  • Subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions.
  • Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
  • Able to stand or walk 75% of the day.
  • Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions.
