Job Title: Shift Monitor

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Shift Monitor in our Emergency Homeless Assessment and Referral Center. As a Shift Monitor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our guests, ensuring their basic needs are met, and connecting them with essential services.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide front desk support, including handling mail, managing appointments, and directing phone calls to appropriate staff.
  • Facilitate the initial placement of guests, including conducting orientations and facilitating access to assigned rooms.
  • Notify program staff of special mental health, dietary, or other accommodations disclosed by guests.
  • Conduct nightly bed checks and document guest information.
  • Prepare incident reports and program violation reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the center.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience working with homeless families or individuals preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Willingness to promote the mission of The Salvation Army.
