Job Summary

A seasoned professional is sought to lead the Sterile Processing department at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a Sterile Processing Manager, you will oversee the planning, organization, and management of activities required to meet the sterile instrument and surgical equipment processing needs of the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the activities of the Sterile Processing department personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control parameters for sterilization processes.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels of supplies and instruments.
  • Develop and implement related policies and procedures.
  • Represent the facility on system Sterile Processing Council and other teams or committees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Science or a related field preferred or five (5) years equivalent experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must hold or attain three (3) certifications from the following credentialing organizations within 18 months of employment.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience involving sterilization of instruments, equipment, and supplies or related experience in the operating room/acute hospital environment.
  • Minimum three (5) years of supervisory experience.
Estimated Salary Range:

$95,000 - $110,000 per year.
