About the Role

A Business Relationship Manager builds strong relationships with clients, engaging them through various channels, including in-person, by appointment, and virtually. This role requires adapting a digital-first mindset to provide the best possible counsel. The key to building trust lies in understanding and addressing clients' banking needs, gathering and processing customer information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions tailored to each client's goals and needs.

This involves proactive outreach and follow-up, asking questions to understand clients' financial requirements and banking preferences. It also includes identifying solutions for new and existing clients by effectively communicating with them. To achieve this, you must maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings.

You will be responsible for providing a consistent optimal client experience, greeting clients, and processing basic transactions. Additionally, you'll develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients. This position requires opening new consumer and business accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications. You will also educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to meet their financial needs.

Key Responsibilities

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 - $27.50 per hour, depending on location. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contribution, and pension plans.
