About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF/Microwave Engineer to join our Kuiper Government Solutions team. As a key member of our Solutions Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative and fast-paced analysis and design solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into technically robust solutions backed by data and analysis.
  • Responsible for implementation of RF wireless system and physical layer performance of multiple wireless components.
  • Responsible for designing RF and communications payloads on a commercial bus and terrestrial ground terminals.
  • Identify top-level customer requirements and ensure high-quality and innovative designs are pursued.
  • Develop RF link budget, frequency planning, filter requirements definition, and RF test validation plans.
  • Perform RF design and layout trade studies for satellite RF and Microwave sub-systems in the Ka/K range; contributing to overall system architecture including inputs and requirements from cross-discipline teams.
  • Facilitate cost trades on multiple parallel configurations for cost/manufacturability vs design uncertainty.
  • Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical design reviews and as part of proposal efforts.
  • Design and support test campaigns, both development and qualification/acceptance, for space hardware.
  • Utilize RF analysis tools including ADS, HFSS, MO, and SystemVue.
Requirements
  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects.
