Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver / Logistics Team Member to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to residential and commercial job sites locally and out of town. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading inbound and outbound trailers/box trucks
- Completing documentation required for receiving, shipping, and deliveries and entering information into the business system
- Assisting the production team by retrieving raw materials from the warehouse
- Working closely with Logistics peers, Production Team, and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
- Packing products with care and mindfulness
- Preparing and shipping outgoing UPS and FedEx packages
- Maintaining DOT logs when driving company vehicles
- Driving GPS-designated truck routes when driving Gaston & Wyatt delivery vehicles
- Adhering to all federal, state, and local driving laws when driving company vehicles
- Maintaining and keeping all company vehicles clean
- Maintaining a company credit card, submitting credit card receipts, and completing monthly reports
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass Virginia Motor Vehicle Records Check
- Ability to drive a Box truck for deliveries
- Ability to load and unload trucks when wood or windows shipments arrive using hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and physically lifting products
- Must be able to operate company forklifts
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must pay attention to detail
- Interact professionally with both internal and external customers
- Excellent attitude and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and 75 to 100 pounds occasionally
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including a complete medical and dental plan, life insurance, incentive compensation, and a generous paid time off program. Estimated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
