Athletic Facilities and Events Manager

Position Overview:
The Athletic Facilities and Events Manager is tasked with the comprehensive oversight, evaluation, and implementation of scheduling, upkeep, and rental operations for athletic venues.
Key Responsibilities:
The Manager will oversee all operations during game days for various events and will be responsible for arranging suitable personnel and external service providers to ensure a seamless game day experience.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Events and Facilities and collaborates closely with coaching teams and athletic administration.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate all game-day operations for designated sports as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director. This includes hiring personnel, coordinating officials, liaising with both home and visiting teams, and managing fan engagement.
- Assist in the maintenance of athletic facilities, which encompasses both building and field upkeep. Work collaboratively with all Division I teams to develop a comprehensive facility usage schedule.
- Manage athletic facility rentals, which includes negotiating contracts, supervising rental operations, and pursuing new rental opportunities.
- Coordinate all setup and teardown activities for events and games across all athletic venues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations governing the institution and its staff, as well as the rules set forth by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the West Coast Conference. Supervise compliance among assistants and volunteers, and promptly report any potential violations to the Director of Athletics.
- Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities for complex issues.
- Make informed decisions regarding priorities, particularly concerning game day matters, while collaborating closely with coaches and addressing fan-related challenges during events.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is set at $67,980.
