Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Care Specialist at Froedtert Health, you will play a vital role in coordinating the daily operations of our pharmacy technician staff. You will act as a daily resource for technicians, providing guidance on technical and operational information. Additionally, you will provide technical and clerical assistance to pharmacists in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician and a high school diploma or equivalent. Leadership training is preferred, and certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily operations of pharmacy technician staff
• Provide guidance on technical and operational information
• Assist pharmacists with processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy
• Procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Function within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections
