Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Quality Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on developing and running test automation scripts across the full data pipeline, tracking and validating data from end to end.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing targeted tests around data to verify Extract/Transform/Load (ETL), performance, and load tests.
  • Tracking and benchmarking nightly ETL refresh times and monitoring impacts of code changes to that time as part of release testing.
  • Following data sets through entire data lifecycle from end to end starting with raw source, data landing, cleansing, integration, and transformation into data warehouse and testing to ensure data completed journey as intended.
  • Comparing schemas (tables, views, and stored procedures) across different environments to verify consistency and that the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) has been adhered to for deployments.

Requirements:

  • Strong SQL skills (SQL Server)
  • Python development skills
  • Strong quality mentality knowing common failure points and patterns knowing what to check and where in the data load pipelines
  • Automated data testing skills (ETL, performance testing, load testing, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with Azure tools (ADF, Data Bricks, etc.)
  • Comfortable following a structured software development lifecycle to capture/control all code/scripts using tools like Azure Data Studio, Azure DevOps

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
