Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at DHR Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform family-centered evidence-based nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Implement physician's orders in a safe and accurate manner.
- Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
- Transcribe and implement new physician orders.
- Adapt to the needs of the unit by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of nursing actions.
- Participate in health/therapeutic counseling, teaching/emotional support for patients and significant others.
- Makes rounds on assigned patients and prioritizes patient needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and coworkers.
- Provides and receives reports in a status of patients at the change of shifts.
- Administers medication and therapies within the scope of safe nursing practice.
- Formulates, modifies, and implements goal-oriented patient care plans according to facility policies.
- Assumes responsibility to report clinical limitations or the need for assistance to the supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required (BSN preferred)
- Current registered nurse's license in the State of Texas required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification within six months of hire
- NIHSS certification within six months of hire
- TNCC/TCAR within six months of hire
- ENLS certification required for NSICU
- Ability to practice nursing as described by the American Nurses Association (2016)
- Ability to utilize the best nursing process in the provision of nursing care
- Ability to adjust and/or troubleshoot monitoring equipment and computer equipment
- Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and families in an effective manner
- Exhibits tact, enthusiasm, and patience
- Must be sensitive to cultural differences
