Caring Direct Support Professional

A Bright Future, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives, helping them to maintain their independence and safety in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement program curricula and deliver individual and group learning experiences to assist participants in obtaining their Individualized Plan (IPP) objectives.
- Maintain data regarding participant progress and participate in participant assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.
- Prepare teaching materials for Independent Living Skills Training and Support Service sessions and schedule participant session time and programming according to their Individual Service Plan and the Training domains.
- Provide training in various skills, including money management, nutrition, cooking, comparison shopping, emergency procedures, community education, medical procedures, counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Coordinate participant training programs with other programs and services and assist participants in coordinating with other programs, services, and benefit systems.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a driver's license and a clean DMV record.
- CPR and First Aid training, or willingness to be trained within 30 days of employment.
- TB clearance within 30 days of employment.
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance prior to employment.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening prior to employment.
- IHSS provider certification in the county(s) of placement within 30 days of employment.
