Forensic Psychiatrist

We are a leading provider of Correctional Healthcare solutions, and we are currently seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team at Racine County Jail in Wisconsin. As a Psychiatrist with VitalCore Health Strategies, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients. You will also provide clinical direction, general supervision, and training to site staff and other managerial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of those inmates referred by medical and clinical services staff.
• Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis, and treatment course.
• Provide psychiatric services for inpatients, assessment, diagnosis, staffing, treatment planning, and regular review of all inmates assigned.
• Provide psychiatric services for those inmates who need to be transferred to Behavioral Health facilities, including work up and court hearing testimony.
• Provide medication management to all inmates admitted.
• Provide individual and/or group therapy as appropriate.
• Approve, sign, and monitor the implementation and efficiency of treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of medical school and have completed an appropriate psychiatric residency.
• Must be licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
• Current DEA number.
