Job Title: Senior Transit Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Transit Project Manager to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our project leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of project management plans, building and maintaining effective client relationships, and delivering high-quality projects on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute project management plans, including technical aspects, operations, contracting, project controls, quality, risk, and change management.
  • Lead client contract scoping and negotiations, and serve as the primary client liaison.
  • Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
  • Implement HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project, and lead the development and execution of project management plans.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to achieve overall project objectives.
  • Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mega and super mega projects.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance, and compensation reviews, and succession.
Requirements:
  • 4 years of successful management of engineering projects.
  • Successful experience in winning, contracting, and delivering large/complex transit DB projects with construction costs ranging from $1-$3 billion for a major transit agency.
  • Demonstrated design leadership acumen in the multidisciplinary aspects of transit design, including civil and track, rail systems, and stations architecture.
  • Leading large design teams inside and outside of HNTB, including sub-consultants.
  • Identifying and handling risk and change management independently.
  • Leveraging HNTB and client controls systems to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project management experience delivering several Design Build transit projects.
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Certification.
