Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ground System Electronic Architect to join our team at the Department of the Army. As a key member of our Ground Vehicle Systems Center, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex ground system electronic architectures and overseeing research and development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of ground system electronic architectures and oversee research and development programs
  • Collaborate with automotive science, technology, research, development, and engineering organizations to develop deep insights into emerging technologies
  • Perform long-range and near-term program planning of research and development operations
  • Provide technical advice and mentorship across the organization in execution of the organization's mission
  • Coordinate with the Scientific and Professional (ST) staff and Office of the Chief Scientist to assist with the management and oversight of the GVSC Technical Track program
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • At least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance
  • Experience in evaluating, reviewing, and approving coordinated programs to ensure the orderly integration, coordination, and balance of major technical events
  • Experience in monitoring programming, funding, resources, and deployment requirements across multiple organizations
  • Experience leading projects or teams in the design, research, development, testing, production, and maintenance of ground vehicles
