Certified Medical Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Support Professional to join our team at One Health Family Medicine in Charlotte, Huntersville, Mooresville, and Denver. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, support the physician and/or Advanced Care Practitioner (ACP) with various tasks, and contribute to a positive work environment.
About the RoleThis is a PRN position, offering flexible shifts to accommodate your schedule. You will be responsible for assisting with patient intake, documentation, vaccine and medication administration, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Your expertise will also include pre-visit planning, following patient intake/rooming procedures, and performing vital signs checks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the physician and/or ACP with patient care, including administering medications, performing venipuncture, and collecting specimens.
- Conduct pre-visit planning with the provider and care team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Follow established patient intake/rooming procedures to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Perform vital signs checks, including height, weight, and temperature.
- Assist with reviewing medication history, updating medication lists, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Participate in electronic documentation of care at the direction of the provider.
- Maintain accurate records, including lab requisitions and test results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school graduate or equivalent required.
- Certification as a CMA or RMA from a recognized national organization.
- One of the following qualifications: completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, intermediate EMT or Paramedic Program, structured military training, graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing, or 3 years on-the-job training and successful completion of CHS Medical Group approved competency assessment.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
We offer a competitive salary range of $38,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate includes the base job title, location, and industry standards.
