Job Title: Senior Psych Tech

Our client, an integrated residential treatment program, is seeking a Senior Psych Tech to provide behavioral health and residential services to individuals with serious mental illness.

Job Summary:

The Senior Psych Tech will supervise residents during scheduled shifts and provide individual support for assigned residents. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health standards and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise residents during scheduled shifts and provide individual support for assigned residents.
  • Assist in developing individual recovery plans for consumers and preparing them for transition to residential programs.
  • Provide one-to-one counseling for consumers experiencing difficulty sleeping and document counseling sessions.
  • Assist consumers with learning and achieving activities of daily living.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and review consumer charts for accuracy.
  • Document in shift report log and provide verbal reports to oncoming staff.
  • Supervise mental health technicians assigned to the shift and perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education).
  • 5 years of mental health direct care experience, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, time management, and team-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in emergency situations.
