Family First Mental Health is seeking a highly motivated Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality behavioral health services to children, youth, and adults.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a mental health setting and be familiar with evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

Responsibilities
  • Maintain assigned caseload of weekly billable insurance hours.
  • Responsible for ensuring services are provided in the community.
  • Participating in the person-centered planning process.
  • Providing direct community-based behavioral health services and support for the individual and family as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan.
  • Monitor and track consumer hours and annual intake dates and complete as assigned.
  • Assisting the Case Manager in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals.
  • Responsible for completing the OnTarget tasks assigned within 24 hours.
  • Assisting the Case Manager with consulting identified non-medical providers, engaging community and natural supports and including their input in the person-centered planning process.

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and professional development opportunities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field or related field.
  • One year of experience working in a mental health setting, preferably with children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as CBT.
