Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Technician to join our team at Sky Lakes Medical Center. As a key member of our Materials Management Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of medical supplies to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the daily operations of the Distribution, Receiving, and Print Shop Sections of the Materials Management Department.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with superiors, staff members, and coworkers/peers.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work environment, including monitoring and maintaining Distribution/Receiving equipment.
  • Participate in fiscal year physical inventory functions as directed by the Director of Materials Management.
  • Pull requested supply orders accurately and deliver supplies to using departments in a timely manner.
  • Perform cycle counts and refill warehouse shelves as assigned.
  • Collaborate with care providers as needed.
  • Maintain computerized issue/receipt/adjustment information.
Requirements
  • Ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose an appropriate course of action.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and effectively manage time, helping co-workers as needed.
  • Support patient-specific workload or identified extreme patient supply utilization as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and appropriate appearance for public contact.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with nursing and other providers in providing assistance in understanding stat or immediate needs of customers, supply needs.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to meet desired outcomes in the provision of services.
  • Ability to maintain currency with online computerized training modules.
  • Possession of a valid Oregon driver's license, excellent driving record, and ability to be insured by the hospital's auto insurance policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous knowledge of medical supplies and warehousing operations.
Physical and Mental Demands

This position requires medium to heavy physical demands, including lifting 5 to 50 pounds frequently from floor to waist height, pushing/pulling up to 200 pounds frequently, and walking in excess of 5 miles a day.

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a focus on repetitive tasks and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
