Job Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at Lowell General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work under the direction of a registered nurse to provide supportive and restorative care to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Implement medical and nursing plans of care, administer medications, and perform procedures as directed by the registered nurse.
  • Provide direct patient care, maintaining patient rights and dignity, and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Assess and reassess patient pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques, and documenting pain management.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to the registered nurse and base care on pathophysiological and psychosocial rationale.
  • Deliver care in a fiscally responsible manner, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
  • Experience dependent on unit requirements and needs.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
