About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Creative Ambassador to join our team at Saint Kate The Arts Hotel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests, check reservations, and log arrivals with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm.
  • Answer phones and manage voicemail, demonstrating excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Escort guests to their table, provide menus, and introduce their server with poise and confidence.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, upholding high standards of professionalism and hygiene.
  • Handle reservations and arrangements for restaurant functions, utilizing your organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed, providing seamless support and a positive attitude.
  • Help with BEOs for private functions, showcasing your expertise and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • No prior experience required; prior hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Able to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner, demonstrating empathy and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write the English language, fully comprehending guest requests, memos, and reservations.
  • Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized, upholding high standards of professionalism and tidiness.
  • Able to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items and multi-task, adapting to changing situations with ease.
  • Able to move through a crowded room to seat guests, showcasing your agility and poise.
  • Able to work POS system, Open Table computer, and cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and be able to work under pressure, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.

Salary Estimate: Based on industry standards and the location of Saint Kate The Arts Hotel, we estimate the annual salary for this role to be approximately $42,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
