Senior Cost Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in preparing consolidated financial statements and various accounting reports, including management reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly journal entries, consolidating entries, and month-end analyses to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate various exhibits and commentary required for reports issued to management, outside Directors, and government agencies.
  • Accounting Coordination: Coordinate the typing, proofreading, issuance, and filing of reports.
  • Cost Analysis: Prepare and analyze distribution and storage costs to optimize business operations.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Intercompany Reconciliation: Reconcile and analyze intercompany activity to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects, year-end activities, and related duties as needed.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Prepare inventory reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred.
  • Skills: Strong ability to understand and follow detailed instructions, proven ability to meet deadlines, excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with SAP systems is a plus.
