Laboratory Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Coordinator to join our team at Minnesota State University, Mankato. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support in the supervision and direction of graduate teaching assistants, as well as overseeing laboratory classrooms and equipment.

• Supervise and direct graduate teaching assistants in various biological sciences laboratory sections
• Recommend and assist in the creation and update of laboratory exercises and student requirements
• Oversight and management of laboratory classrooms, including supplies and equipment
• Teach laboratory sections and provide advice and counsel to students

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Master's Degree or higher in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, or a sub-discipline of Biology
• A minimum of one year of experience, which may include related graduate/teaching assistantship
• Teaching experience in undergraduate biological sciences and/or microbiology labs

Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment, strong background or experience in General Biology, Strong background or experience in Microbiology, Knowledge of experimental procedures and design related to microbiology, Experience with basic chemical solution preparation, culture media preparation, and safety, Expertise or experience in laboratory setup for undergraduate microbiology and general biology courses.

The salary range for this position is $46,372.00 - $93,342.00 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
