Electrophysiology Specialist

Avera McKennan- Hospital seeks a skilled Electrophysiology Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.

This role involves performing routine and STAT EEG studies, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining medical equipment in an acute hospital setting for all age groups.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from an accredited school of EEG/EEG/Neurodiagnostics Technology and registration in EEG (R. EEG T.) or evoke potentials (R. EP T.) from the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist within two years of accepting the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with call every 4th week/weekend and weekend/evening/night differential pay
• Perform STAT and Routine EEGs, continuous long-term monitoring EEG studies, scheduled outpatient EEG studies for pediatrics and adults
• Initiate proper interventions based on interpretation of changes in the patient's condition and extract relevant information from the patient's chart
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot medical and general support equipment
• Complete testing for reports, charging procedures, prepare patient rooms, stock supplies, and contact supervisory staff when appropriate
