Job Summary

The Dishroom Specialist at P.F. Chang's is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitized environment for staff and guests. This role involves operating an industrial dishwasher, washing and sanitizing plate ware, drink ware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate an industrial dishwasher to ensure high-quality sanitation standards are met.
  • Wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils, and maintain all areas of the restaurant.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly conditions.
  • Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
  • Execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Empty and clean all trash receptacles.
  • Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
  • Must possess a current Food Handler's Card, where applicable.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work around various levels of temperature, including warm to very warm temperatures in the kitchen.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team work environment.
