Accountant, Payroll and General Ledger Operations Specialist

About the Role:
The Accountant, Payroll and General Ledger Ops will be part of a team of technical and skilled accounting and finance professionals within the Controller organization who own General Ledger operations for CommerceIQ.
We work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, collaborating within the Finance team and cross-functional partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of payroll accounting, including processing payroll, reconciling payroll-related accounts, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Reconcile cash daily, report on weekly cash positions, perform monthly bank reconciliations, and produce monthly cash-burn reports.
- Support team on ad-hoc tasks and take an active interest in your career development and partner with management to continue your growth and development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting at a high-growth pre-IPO startup.
- Strong understanding of, or interest in learning, payroll laws, tax regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Paylocity), accounting software (e.g., NetSuite), and Google/Microsoft business software (Gmail, Excel/GSheets, etc.).
