Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities to shape the future of airworthiness standards for our test vehicle.
  • Develop and implement airworthiness strategies that meet all regulatory requirements for our aircraft while pushing the boundaries of current regulations.
  • Ensure all aspects of the aircraft vehicle's design, development, and testing comply with aviation vehicle safety regulations.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of certification documentation, including reports, analyses, and other required materials, for our test vehicle.
  • Advocate for new and innovative approaches to airworthiness and vehicle certification that align with Hermeus' mission and vision.
  • Identify potential risks related to airworthiness and certification and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safe and compliant operation of aircraft vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in airworthiness engineering, with a strong focus on working with regulatory authorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of airworthiness regulations, certification processes, and requirements for civilian and military aircraft and launch vehicles.
  • Proven track record of successfully guiding complex aerospace projects through certification processes.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft and launch vehicle systems, structures, and materials, with the ability to assess their airworthiness.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with regulatory bodies and internal teams.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
