The Opportunity: Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer: A skilled engineer with expertise in structural design, analysis, and testing of high-speed vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in load paths, structural hand calculations, and experience with pre-preg composites and bonded and wet tied composite structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain hypersonic vehicle finite element method (FEM) models
  • Develop and expand upon FEMAP interfacing and data reduction scripts and programs
  • Perform modal, linear, and nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate vehicle loads and environments

Qualifications:

  • Strong fundamental structures background, including load paths and the ability to hand size structural components
  • Experience with pre-preg composites and bonded and wet tied composite structures
  • Experience with loads development
  • Experience with static structural testing
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or Matlab
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX, CATIA, or Solidworks

About You: You have approximately more than 20 years of experience in this role. You are relentless in solving problems, work well in teams, and enjoy a challenge. You are a citizen of the country where the opportunity is located or have the right to work in that country, and have completed the appropriate level of education in a relevant field.
