Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Northeast Georgia Health System Inc, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Under the direction of a Radiologist/Cardiologist and Supervisor, you will perform CT and X-ray procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for CT and X-ray diagnosis. This will include the use of contrast agents and knowledge of proper technique for certain invasive procedures.

Assuming responsibility for designated areas of procedures required, you will work with patients of all ages, from newborn to elderly. Your minimum job qualifications will include a current ARRT certification, a High School Diploma or GED, and a graduate of an accredited ARRT Program.

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a CT Technologist. You will be required to operate CT and X-ray equipment according to equipment specifications, adhere to infection control and safety practices, and produce quality images consistently within established protocols.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining patient records, knowledge of appropriate use of contrast media, and providing patient education pertinent to the exam being performed. You will also be required to meet productivity standards defined by the department and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited ARRT Program
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a CT Technologist (preferred)
