Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a physical therapist to assist patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan.

The successful candidate will provide and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental impairments, in line with related standard concepts, practices, and procedures. You will be responsible for exchanging information with and providing documentation to the physical therapist about patient responses to and communications during intervention.

Our ideal candidate is a graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant and is licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice. They must also possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan.
  • Provide and record therapy services to patients/residents/clients with physical, cognitive, developmental impairments.
  • Exchange information with and provide documentation to the physical therapist about patient responses to and communications during intervention.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
