About the Role

This position involves the retrieval, compilation, registration, submission, and presentation of clinical data related to cardiovascular services. The Clinical Data Coordinator works closely with the Planning and Decision Support Department to provide analytical support, assist in the dissemination of results, and maintain effective communication patterns with physicians, hospital staff, and sponsors.

Purpose of the Job

The main objective of this role is to enhance operational function, efficiency, quality, and comparative edge, ultimately improving patient outcomes. To achieve this, the Clinical Data Coordinator must demonstrate behaviors that model the core values and mission statement of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.

Skill Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess strong knowledge of hospital operations, including clinical, financial, and support activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Project, and Access is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of health care experience in project coordination encompassing operations analysis, outcomes measurement methodology, and data management is highly desirable. Experience and knowledge with cardiovascular databases, such as NRMI (National Registry of Acute Myocardial Infarctions), ACC-NCDR (American College of Cardiology - National Cardiac Data Registry), STS (Society of Thoracic Surgeons), and CCORP (California CABG Outcomes Reporting Program), are also preferred.

Certification and Licensure

Registered Nurse licensure in the state of California is required for this role.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this role is $43.27 - $66.53 per hour, based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
