Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Waste Management Technician to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a Waste Management Technician, you will be responsible for operating front-end trucks that provide services to various multi-family residential and commercial routes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport it to post-collection facilities.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and complete vehicle condition reports.
  • Courteously interact with customers and respond to their inquiries and requests.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by cleaning up spills and loose trash around the truck and container.
  • Monitor operations to detect loose debris and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.
  • Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class A or B.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
  • Able to meet safety-sensitive criteria according to Company standards.
Working Conditions:

Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, and extreme weather conditions.

Work in outdoor environments up to 100% of the time.

Occasionally work in high-pitched places.

Work in motor vehicle traffic conditions constantly.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on experience and location.
