Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting. Your primary responsibility will be to perform diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment, and to use your skills and abilities to meet the needs of patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic radiological procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.

Image processing, including understanding and using the current RIS and PACS system, and working under the supervision of a radiologist as needed.

Collaborate with radiologists on film Quality Assurance, exam clarification, and other tasks as required.

Participate in an on-call or standby schedule as required, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required.

Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire required.

Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.

Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.

Adaptability, following policies and procedures, flexibility, experience with McKesson PACS, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.

Associates degree in Radiologic Science or related field preferred.
