Long Term Care Nurse Specialist

The South Peninsula Hospital is seeking a skilled Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Long Term Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing and planning resident care, ensuring the quality of care given to each individual.
In this role, you will administer medications and treatments, oversee and monitor care performed by assigned staff, and provide nursing care in other departments as needed. Your ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues will be essential in maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
To be successful in this position, you must possess a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Alaska, maintain BLS certification, and have a minimum of one year experience in Gerontology, preferably in a Long Term Care facility. Strong organizational and supervisory skills are also required.
