About the Job

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at one of our facilities in Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality care to our patients. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess and evaluate patient mental status, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial psychological assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the nurse therapist and multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, incorporating knowledge of each patient's condition and applying various therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate with other unit staff to assess and evaluate patient mental status, initiate and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and coordinate and implement various aspects of the milieu environment.
  • Participate in crisis intervention techniques and work with other unit personnel to determine whether a patient represents a risk to themselves and/or others.
  • Record all appropriate information on patient charts and prepare regular reports describing each patient's mental status and functioning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
  • BLS required.
