Job Overview

KBR is seeking a Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer to support our customers in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in defining new mission requirements and performing Systems Engineering tasks.

In this role, you will be responsible for advising the Government in defining new mission requirements, performing Systems Engineering tasks such as Requirements, Configuration Management, Integration, Verification, Validation and Test (IVV&T), Risk and Readiness. You will also represent the Government team and work with development contractors in performing all aspects of agile software development, CI/CD pipelines and deployment of mission software to operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise the Government in defining new mission requirements
  • Perform Systems Engineering tasks such as Requirements, Configuration Management, Integration, Verification, Validation and Test (IVV&T), Risk and Readiness
  • Represent the Government team and work with development contractors in performing all aspects of agile software development, CI/CD pipelines and deployment of mission software to operations
  • Define GEOINT requirements, develop and coordinate CONOPS of GEOINT mission planning and scheduling systems, write and translate requirements into Epics/Features based on emerging customer needs
  • Understand system-to-system interfaces and function as an Integrator
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, monitor system and segment schedules, recognize dependencies, identify risks and opportunities
  • Facilitate readiness, release planning events, and demonstrations in support of system and acquisition-level sprints and increments
  • Review Request for Changes (RFCs) and identify impacts, in addition author RFCs for the customer
  • Support Agile and DevOps automated test and verification
  • Integrate new systems and initiatives in support of expanded GEOINT mission planning and scheduling capabilities, work directly with our developers and users in operations

Salary Range

$120,000 - $160,000 per year

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and at least 10 years of experience in GEOINT systems engineering. You should also have strong knowledge of GEOINT mission planning and scheduling systems, experience with system-to-system interfaces and integration, and experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
