About the Position

  • The selected candidate will be part of a collaborative team that welcomes collaboration, with EpicLink integrated system available for working with specialists across the health system and with referring providers.
  • Opportunities exist for participation in quality improvement, research, and administration, depending on individual interests.
  • Growth opportunities are available for specialty surgical areas.
  • Teaching through the UofL School of Medicine, including lectures for Grand Rounds.
  • Fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus preferred.
  • A salary and academic rank commensurate with experience will be offered.

About the UofL School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences

Norton Medical Group is affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, which has a department of ophthalmology and visual sciences located in its own free-standing complex. The department has 12 clinical faculty members with the full spectrum of subspecialty divisions, from pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus to retina and uveitis, glaucoma, corneal and external disease, refractive surgery, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, comprehensive ophthalmology, and well eye care.

The estimated salary for this position is $250,000-$300,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
