Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect to play a vital role in shaping and implementing our security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop secure architecture solutions, conduct technical risk assessments, and help define security controls and procedures.

As a technical expert in security, you will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to engineers and stakeholders to ensure adherence to security best practices.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with multiple teams to develop and determine the organization's security posture, contributing to the creation of security reference architectures and frameworks.
  2. Design robust security solutions for both cloud and on-premises applications, ensuring the highest level of protection.
  3. Conduct thorough security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective improvements.
  4. Collaborate closely with our IT and engineering teams to integrate and implement security measures into our systems and processes.
  5. Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and technologies, proactively mitigating risks to maintain a secure environment.
  6. Contribute to the development of security policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  7. Provide technical support and assist in incident response efforts to address security incidents effectively.
  8. Architect enterprise-wide security strategies and solutions, aligning them with business objectives.
  9. Foster innovation in security architecture, incorporating advanced technologies and modern methodologies.
  10. Take the lead in designing security solutions for highly important and intricate systems.
  11. Work closely with top-level executives and important individuals to define the organization's security goals.
  12. Be the point of contact for important security architecture decisions and incidents.
  13. Lead teams of diverse professionals in implementing large-scale security transformation initiatives.
  14. Represent the organization at industry conferences and contribute thought leadership in cybersecurity.
  15. Influence product and service direction by providing expert security architecture input to leadership.
  16. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to stay ahead of security trends.
  17. Oversee the integration of security architecture into the organization's overall digital transformation strategy.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Strong familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST and ISO 27001.

Expertise in security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Preferred certifications include CISM or CISSP, although they are not required.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $124,015. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
