Nurse Leadership Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Leader to join our team as a Charge Nurse in the Medical Surgical Unit. This role will be responsible for leading and coordinating the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent nursing practices.

About the Role:
This leadership position requires a registered nurse with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration, preferably in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of the unit, supervising staff, and facilitating communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of the unit, including staffing, patient assignments, and workflow management
- Supervise and develop staff, providing coaching and feedback to improve performance and job satisfaction
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Identify areas for quality improvement and implement evidence-based practice changes to enhance patient outcomes
- Participate in strategic planning, goal-setting, and budgeting initiatives to support departmental objectives
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience as an RN in a hospital setting
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- Current active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board
- Certification in critical care or leadership preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in designated departments
