Solaris Administrator T2 Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Solaris Administrator T2 to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support for our Solaris-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve complex technical incidents related to Solaris OS administration, including LDOM/CDOM, Solaris Zone, UFS, ZFS, and Solaris Volume Manager.
  • Provide expert-level support for Red Hat and Oracle Linux OS administration, as well as HPUX server management.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for incident resolution and SLA matrix performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless support for our cloud-based infrastructure, including Azure and Oracle Cloud.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in Solaris administration, including Pacemaker cluster, Cisco UCS, and MetaDisk filesystem management.
Requirements:
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in resolving L2/L3 level technical incidents in Linux/Unix platforms.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Solaris OS administration, including LDOM/CDOM, Solaris Zone, UFS, ZFS, and Solaris Volume Manager.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and ServiceNow/ITSM tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
