**Job Summary:**

The role of a Board Certified Primary Care Provider is to deliver high-quality patient care as a licensed, certified non-physician healthcare provider. This individual possesses delegated prescriptive authority and is credentialed and privileged, with their services billed as an independent billing provider recognized by Medicare and Medicaid within the healthcare systems.

This position requires providing medical care based on the scope of practice as delineated by the supervising physician, typically in internal medicine, family medicine, geriatric or pediatric clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain medical histories to assess patients' physical and mental conditions.
  • Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
  • Prescribe, recommend, and/or employ medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatments and procedures.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, standards of care, professional practice guidelines, and collaboration with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members when appropriate.
  • Evaluate patients' responses to health care provided and the effectiveness of care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program.
  • One year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
  • Basic Life Support certification.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $110,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
