About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at AvidXchange. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for executive management, department heads, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with corporate accounting and FP&A teams on accounting, systems, and planning matters.
  • Support the routine forecasting and annual budgeting process for FP&A teams.
  • Identify opportunities for centralizing data in the budgeting and planning system for widespread use.
  • Develop expertise in the budgeting and planning system and support business needs for reporting and analysis.
  • Drive analysis for business case evaluations.
  • Perform other ad-hoc business analysis and modeling as needed.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a $500M+ software business (including Software-as-a-Service and transactional revenue models).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting, reporting, forecasting/business intelligence systems.
  • Intermediate database skills, as well as familiarity with other Microsoft Office products and corporate ERP systems.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Unquestioned professional integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Strong business understanding and judgment, across multiple lines of business/functional areas (more likely a business background than technology background).
  • Identifies problems, develops, and evaluates options, and implements solutions.
  • Applies management science, statistics, and computer technology to solve problems.
  • Understands organizational strengths and corporate vision and identifies points within programs or projects to drive integration between the two.
  • Manages competing demands and adapts to frequent change, delays, and unexpected results.
