We are seeking a qualified Audiologist to join our faculty at the Department of Communication Disorders in the School of Allied Health Professions at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. As an Assistant/Associate Professor, you will play a key role in teaching, research, and clinical service/supervision for the Doctor of Audiology program.

Job Overview

The Department of Communication Disorders offers a Master of Communication Disorders degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Doctorate of Audiology degree, both accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). Our faculty members are dedicated to providing high-quality education, conducting research, and delivering exceptional clinical services to the community.

About the Role

This is an open-rank position, and we encourage applicants from various backgrounds and experiences. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:

  • Teaching courses related to audiology, including lectures, labs, and clinical practicum;
  • Conducting research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in audiology;
  • Providing clinical service and supervision to students in the Doctor of Audiology program;
  • Participating in departmental, college, and university committee work;

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our experienced faculty members and contribute to the growth and development of the Department of Communication Disorders.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
