About the Role

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. As an LPN, you will provide clinical intervention, collect and document patient information, and participate in the monitoring of patients with chronic disease.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical intervention, such as drug administration, treatments and procedures as ordered by provider and within scope of practice
  • Collection and documentation of patient information to include vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies health risk screen information and other services
  • Direct patients to the team member that would resolve issues prior to and after the Primary Care appointment
  • Ensure patients meet post hospital visit requirements, medication refills and follow up appointments
  • Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate care; assists RN with the coordination and completion of patient care plan
  • Compliance with customer services standards, billing functions to include patient check in/out process
  • Assist with phone calls and messages
  • Determines best actions and collaborates with team to assign accountabilities to resolve
  • Compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waive testing, maintenance of crash cart and drug count
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted NV licensure, with ability to obtain permanent LPN NV license upon expiration of temporary license
  • Current CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire
  • 1+ years in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of/experience with patient teaching
  • Ability to administer medications and injections

Benefits

The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
