**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our team at the State Substance Abuse Treatment Center. As a key member of our treatment staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative recreation therapy services that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being among individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

**Salary Information:**

The estimated salary range for this position is $ **$65,000 - $85,000 per year**, depending on qualifications and experience. This compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

**Responsibilities:**

As a Recreation Therapist at our Substance Abuse Treatment Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and leading therapeutic recreational activities that cater to diverse skill levels and interests;
  • Collaborating with treatment teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans;
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of participant progress and outcomes;
  • Facilitating group sessions and providing one-on-one support as needed;
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in recreation therapy.

**Requirements & Qualifications:**

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field and have relevant experience working with individuals with substance use disorders. A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification or current licensure as a Creative Arts Therapist is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for promoting positive change, are essential for success in this position.
