Optum Home Infusion Pharmacist Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, and related supplies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Compound medications using sterile and ventilated environments, adhering to USP 797 guidelines.
  • Process, pack, and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Review medication orders, evaluate appropriateness, and communicate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Provide indirect oversight of pharmacy technicians and support staff, promoting a culture of excellence and quality.
Requirements:
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Ohio.
  • Solid drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge, with expertise in infusion-related therapies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends and on-call duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Nutritionally Certified.
  • Pharmacist with Home Care or Home Infusion experience.
  • Sterile compounding experience.
