Medical Director Position

The TEEMA Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our clinical team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the delivery of care and clinical outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Provide medical guidance and supervision of medical services activities, including the development of medical policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Lead the development of clinical standards and medical practice guidelines and protocols, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Oversee the Quality Improvement (QI) Plan, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans to enhance patient care.
- Participate in the training and education of the interdisciplinary team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Coordinate performance appraisals of the Primary Care Physician, providing feedback and coaching to support their growth and development.
- Develop educational programs to enhance provider skills, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and competencies to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Manage communication with the provider network, working closely with the Contract Manager to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.
- Represent the TEEMA Group to external agencies, professional groups, and regulatory agencies, promoting our organization's mission and values.
- M.D. or D.O. with a current state license.
- DEA registration and the ability to obtain and maintain staff privileges at contracted agencies.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice; advanced certification in geriatrics preferred.
- Experience in a managed care environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a lead administrative role.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and state-required liability auto insurance.
- Medically cleared for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations.
- Pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, with the ability to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
