**Job Summary**

The Instructor/Assistant Professor of Mass Communications will report to the Chair of the Mass Communications Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching skills courses in television production, including TV Productions I and II, Broadcast Writing and Reporting, Broadcast News Gathering and Reporting, and Sports Production.

**Responsibilities**

* Teach skills courses in television production, including TV Productions I and II, Broadcast Writing and Reporting, Broadcast News Gathering and Reporting, and Sports Production.
* Participate in departmental recruitment activities, promoting the department within the state and nationally.
* Serve on committees, engage in grantsmanship, and maintain a research agenda.
* Work with diverse student populations and demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

**Qualifications**

* A master's degree in communications related to Broadcast Journalism or a related field is required.
* A completed doctorate is required for a tenure-track appointment and the rank of Assistant Professor.
* ABD will be considered.
* Experience with Logic Pro X Audio Editing Software and fluency with Adobe Creative Suites Software are required.
* The successful candidate will be expected to continue a research agenda and participate in service activities.
