About The Position

At The Greenbrier Hotel, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Bus Server Attendant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy providing exceptional customer service and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively approach and acknowledge all guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner, consistently meeting Greenbrier standards.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all venue offerings, including menu items and preparation methods.
  • Train and implement service standards to ensure seamless delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
  • Execute water, bread, and bussing duties with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Assist with table maintenance, setting, detailing, and other service steps as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Presentation of menus, ensuring clear understanding of options and preparation methods.
  • Beverage presentation, including full knowledge of offerings and preparation methods.
  • Placing beverage orders into the Point of Sale System accurately and efficiently.
  • Serving beverage orders utilizing full club service, ensuring timely and attentive delivery.
  • Taking food orders, demonstrating extensive knowledge of offerings and preparation methods.
  • Placing food orders into the Point of Sale System, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Polishing and placing of appropriate silver and glassware, contributing to a premium dining experience.
  • Firing appropriate courses, ensuring smooth progression through the meal.
  • Serving and articulating all courses, showcasing comprehensive knowledge of offerings and preparation methods.
  • Clearing of all courses, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Validating satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Taking dessert orders, demonstrating expertise in venue offerings and preparation methods.
  • Making and serving coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino, latte, and other specialty beverages.
  • Presentation of checks and processing payments, ensuring seamless transaction completion.
  • Assisting with the departure of guests, providing a genuine farewell and inviting them to return.
  • Completing all assigned side work to the standard operating procedure, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Assisting the dining team with all aspects of the service script, ensuring consistency and excellence in guest interactions.
  • Maintaining a cleanly and organized side station, adhering to Greenbrier standards.
  • Effectively and conscientiously using materials and efficiently utilizing time, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
  • Familiarity with pertinent ABC laws, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulations.
  • Participating in all required meetings, including Pre-Shift briefings, training sessions, and other relevant gatherings.
  • Ensuring proper supplies are on hand at all times, effectively servicing guests and maintaining a seamless dining experience.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with:

  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress, preferably in Four Star or Five Star dining environments.
  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D., with a preference for higher education credentials.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, ensuring all objectives, criteria, and goals are understood and accomplished to the desired standard.
  • An enthusiastic proficiency in the proper pronunciation of Food and Beverage offerings and preparations, contributing to a premium dining experience.
  • Point of Sale Terminal experience, with the ability to accurately and efficiently process transactions.
