Payton Violins, a renowned violin shop in upstate New York, is seeking a skilled Luthier to join our team. As a Luthier, you will be responsible for ensuring that our instruments meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instrument Setups and Adjustments: Execute precise setups and adjustments on sale, rental, and customer instruments to ensure optimal performance.
• Restoration and Repair: Conduct detailed restoration and repair work on client and in-house instruments, maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Workshop Management: Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the workshop, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
• Technical Support: Collaborate with the Payton Violins team to provide technical expertise and support customer inquiries related to instrument care and maintenance.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all instruments leaving the workshop meet Payton Violins' rigorous quality standards.
• Innovation and Improvement: Contribute to the development of new techniques and processes to enhance workshop efficiency and product quality.
• Support of the Sales Process: Collaborate with the sales team to provide instrument adjustments and customizations, and provide additional support when required.

Requirements:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in violin making, repair, and restoration, with exceptional bench skills.
