Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Patient Access Representative to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth registration process for patients. This position offers an estimated salary of $42,500 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you will have access to comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 403B.

Job Description

As a Patient Access Representative, your primary responsibility will be to register patients for service delivery, obtaining and verifying demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information. You will also be responsible for entering patient/guarantor data into the patient accounting system, collecting patient signatures on forms, and scanning registration documents. Furthermore, you will obtain and process signed physician orders, conduct online insurance eligibility/benefit verification, notify patient/guarantor and collect patient liabilities, and refer appropriate cases to financial counseling for follow-up and consultation. May provide escort and directional support to patients, family members, and visitors. Enhances the patient experience throughout all patient interactions, the majority of which are face-to-face.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Patient Access Representative, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred;">
  • Data entry skills (50-60 keystrokes per minute);">
  • Prefer one year of applicable experience in a healthcare provider or payer environment;">
  • Fluid experience with various software programs and ability use multiple systems to obtain or validate information during the interview process;">
  • Basic computer skills;">
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred;">
